Founder, Kate Weber, was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in 2018. When she was diagnosed, she was given the option to have fertility preservation before starting her treatment. 

For Kate, that meant egg retrieval and storage which is not covered by insurance at all, even though the loss of fertility is a direct side effect of cancer treatment whether that be chemo, radiation, or the removal of reproductive organs. Kate was lucky enough to have support from her family to pay for the fertility preservation. 

Unfortunately we have learned that so many women choose not to have these procedures simply because they cannot afford it. Kate started her mission to provide funds to young women to pay for their fertility preservation.
